FlexiCommerce vs Magento

Magento can do almost anything. What it cannot do is run itself — and the running is where the cost lives.

The thing that actually differs

Capability is not the constraint; the team is

Magento — now Adobe Commerce — will model almost any commerce requirement you can describe. Complex catalogues, deep B2B, multi-store, custom workflows: it handles all of it, and at the top end nothing hosted comes close.

It also needs a development team, serious hosting, and a budget for both. For a UAE retailer doing a few hundred orders a month, that is a platform whose running cost exceeds its revenue — which is why so many Magento stores are quietly abandoned mid-build.

When Magento is the right answer

If you have genuinely complex requirements — many storefronts, deep B2B pricing rules, ERP integration, hundreds of thousands of SKUs — and a team to run it, Magento will do things we simply cannot.

Enterprises pick it for good reasons. The mistake is picking it because it is the most capable option, when capability was never your constraint.

Common questions

What people ask when switching

We were quoted a Magento build. Is that wrong?
Not necessarily — ask what the annual running cost is, not just the build cost. Hosting, maintenance and developer time are where Magento projects surprise people, and they recur.
Can you handle a large catalogue?
Tens of thousands of products, comfortably. If you are past that with complex attribute rules, be sceptical of us and say so on a call.

Run both for two weeks

Import your catalogue, place a few real orders, look at the invoice and the app. Comparing screenshots is guesswork; comparing your own products is not.
