Your own store vs selling only on Noon and Amazon.ae
This is not really a competition. Marketplaces and your own store do different jobs, and the mistake is treating either one as the whole strategy.
A marketplace rents you a customer
Noon and Amazon.ae are where product discovery happens in this market, and a brand that ignores them loses its first year to obscurity. What they are not is a place where you own anything: the customer's details are theirs, the commission recurs on every sale, and a competitor's advert can sit on your own product page.
The pattern that works is both — marketplaces for reach, your own store for margin, repeat customers and the relationship. The second order is where your own store wins, because on a marketplace the second order belongs to them too.

When the marketplaces are the right answer
For discovery, they are unmatched here and nothing you build will replace them in year one. If nobody knows your brand yet, a marketplace listing gets you in front of people your own site cannot reach for a long time.
Their fulfilment is also genuinely good. If you have no warehouse and no delivery capability, letting a marketplace handle storage, delivery and returns is a reasonable trade for the commission — at least until volume makes the maths turn.
